Inconel Orifice Flanges consist of nickel (58–72%), chromium (14–21%), and molybdenum, with smaller proportions of iron and niobium. Such materials provide superior corrosion resistance and mechanical strength. Tensile strength is generally in the order of 750–1000 MPa, and yield strength is 300–600 MPa. They are able to sustain performance over high temperatures above 1000°C and offer elongation of about 30%. They are resistant to chloride-induced corrosion and oxidizing environments and hence suitable for detecting aggressive or high-temperature process fluids.
