Alloy 20 Blind Flanges are composed of nickel (around 35%), chromium (19–21%), molybdenum (2–3%), copper (3–4%), and iron (the remainder), along with stabilizing elements like niobium. This unique blend provides outstanding resistance to sulfuric acid, as well as corrosion from chlorides, pitting, and stress corrosion cracking. These flanges boast a tensile strength ranging from 550 to 750 MPa, a yield strength of 240 to 300 MPa, and an elongation of 30 to 40%. Additionally, Alloy 20 blind flanges offer excellent weldability and mechanical stability at high temperatures, making them perfect for sealing piping systems in aggressive chemical settings.
