Carbon Steel Slip On Flanges are produced using carbon steel alloys having 0.1–0.3% carbon along with manganese and sulfur elements. The general mechanical properties are tensile strength of 485–620 MPa and yield strength of 250–415 MPa (ASTM A105). They have good ductility and perfect weldability. They function satisfactorily between -29°C and 425°C. It permits welding on inner and outer surfaces, which gives leak resistance and structural reinforcement, particularly in moderate-pressure pipelines.
