The low carbon content (≤0.08%) of stainless steel 310S flanges, along with their 24–26% chromium and 19–22% nickel content, improves weldability and lowers carbide precipitation. The material has an approximate elongation of 40%, a yield strength of 205 MPa, and a tensile strength of 515 MPa. At temperatures as high as 1100°C, it retains its structural integrity and has a density of 7.9 g/cm³.
