Stainless Steel 347H Flanges are composed of 17–20% chromium, 9–13% nickel, and are stabilized with niobium (columbium) to prevent carbide precipitation during welding. The alloy’s increased carbon content (0.04–0.10%) improves its high-temperature performance and creep strength. The tensile strength, yield strength, and elongation of SS 347H flanges are approximately 585 MPa, 240 MPa, and 40%, respectively. They are ideal for continuous service in high-stress thermal environments because of their density of 7.9–8.0 g/cm³ and ability to retain structural integrity up to 870–900°C.
