Stainless Steel 348H Flanges have a higher carbon content (0.04–0.10%) than regular SS 348 and are made up of 17–20% chromium, 9–13% nickel, and titanium for stabilisation. Creep resistance and high-temperature strength are increased by this increased carbon content. A tensile strength of roughly 585 MPa, a yield strength of roughly 240 MPa, and an elongation of roughly 35–40% are all provided by SS 348H. It is very resistant to intergranular corrosion and has a density of 8.0 g/cm³. SS 348H is appropriate for demanding thermal environments because it maintains mechanical performance and structural stability up to 900°C in continuous service.
